In Search of...Updates...

We look new, yet we are still "searching" and will continue to address Personal and Leadership Development, Philosophy, and Process Improvement and Physics.

Question:  How can we not dedicate ourselves to growth, and not challenge "old" concepts, while developing new and innovative thoughts?

Weekend Updates...

Traditions have a life of their own. The Weekend Update is one of those traditions! For almost 2 years, EARLY every Saturday morning I rose and wrote a "recap" and intertwined "lessons learned" among the week's events! Then I distributed it via email.

I was ready to let that tradition go...the primary reason was that I lost most of the distribution list!

However...due to your relentless persistence and demand...IT WILL LIVE ON!

The topics of the "Updates" will span the entire spectrum of human behavior and give you my perspectives on how you can be a better individual, friend and leader...

The 21st Century Leader...

Although most do not recognize it, everyone is called to be a leader!  Leadership is not a title or a position.  Everyone is given a set of skills and a world for which they are responsible for...They are called to be a leader in that realm...

We often do not recognize leadership for what it is....being the best that you can be...

Although this blog is primarily about leading organizations and efforts,  The lessons can be applied universally.  Do not pass up a chance to learn and grow just because you do not have a title!

Real Leaders are known for the "career determining" decisions that they make.  The successful 20th century leaders made some awesome decisions...many however tend to think that what worked in the past will work today.  It is true that the foundations of leadership are timeless and unchanging.  That is the beginning.

It must be recognized that the "New Leader" has gone beyond those basics.  The demands of the business climate and workforce being lead is entirely new and challenging.  Effective leadership in the 21st century has a new standard of performance.  It is not an understatement to say that the "...bar has been set higher..."

This blog addresses those demands and suggests ways to meet and exceed those demands.  Some are controversial.  Some are "no brain'ers!"  Read and adapt...and begin your journey to effective 21st century leadership...It starts here and can take you to places unimaginable!  This site also contains links to Group sites that make sharing easier...

NEW - We have taken the direction of Quantum Obligation (QO).  I hope that with your input...We can make this the philosophy of the 21st century!

Where we came from...

For the past few years, I have been on a personal mission to find the 21st century philosopher.

Every generation has had an advocate and a guide. The Greeks had Socrates and Plato, then came Aristotle…fast forward to Descartes, Hume, Kant and others…

Now we are in the 21st century...and...NOONE...A VOID!

I have entertained the possibility of certain celebrities, and sport figures…a singer and a songwriter...an artist and even a commedian!

I was almost convinced that I found them in the great cosmologists Sagan, and Hawking…

Then I was introduced to a self-made surfer/physicist...

But not one of those choices left me with that sense of accomplishment, and closure...you know what I mean...that truly peaceful feeling that I have arrived at the end of my goal!

I could not proclaim, “…AT LAST...I HAVE FOUND YOU!”

At the highest levels…

The 21st century philosopher must be an individual that embraces the climate and culture(s) of today…its values and aspirations! This individual must stand as an icon of what it represents and with a level of integrity that he guides…demands absolute coherency of the world at large! The philosopher of this generation needs to have a uncanny understanding of the foundation upon which today’s society functions…its strengths and weaknesses…and how one needs to play in this arena…the real "rules of engagement" and finally have advice to take us into the future!

That is not everything…but even at this point it is no easy matter to meet those characteristics!

But nothing worth having is easy to obtain!

So…let’s chase down this philosopher!

Let’s find him or her…

…and revel in our discovery!

21st Century Process Improvement...

I have committed to leading organizational management and the Process Improvement world into the 21st century...

From my prespective, most of it is still resting in the late 20th!

As most of you know, a small group of us is here!
